I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Pastor Carole, with the leading of the Holy Spirit, founded Still Waters UMC, along with 7 other members and her husband Douglas in 1999. Still Waters began meeting in Pastor Carole’s home in Woodstock. Since the beginning, she has served the congregation as we’ve moved from her home, to an apartment complex clubhouse, to a shared facility in a building owned by Sandy Springs UMC, to our own building, located on North Druid Hills Road in Atlanta. Just as many of the new churches in the New Testament were begun in the homes of women, so is the witness of Still Waters. (Romans 16:3-5, Corinthians 1:11, Colossians 4:15)The Holy Spirit has used Pastor Carole and the other members of the Servant Team (group of church leaders) to build HIS church which is comprised of people from all nationalities, all economic levels, all colors, and all backgrounds, worshipping together in unity, because of our common Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we are all working towards building a CHRIST Culture community (John 17:20-23). Along with preaching and teaching, Pastor Carole spends countless hours giving free counseling, writing Bible class material, and participating in and advising the many, many ministry activities going on at Still Waters.
She is the chairperson of the Multi-cultural New Church Development Committee of the North Georgia Conference.
