Our Program/Curriculum
The special feature of Still Waters Day School is a Christ Cultured Educational Program founded on the Holy Scriptures. Children will be able to experience developmentally appropriate activities in the context of a Christian curriculum. Scripture, worship time, and prayer will be interwoven in a child’s everyday life at Still Waters Day School. Children will be nurtured physically, emotionally, and spiritually and learn to be disciples of Christ.
Still Waters Learning Center provides quality child care using the Wee Learn Curriculum as well as rest time and outside time. Our curriculum is designed to provide developmentally appropriate activities for each child. Teachers will lead a variety of activities in circle time helping the children to participate in singing, listening to books, and discussing age-specific interests. Here children learn to listen and to share ideas. Cognitive skills, language development, fine and gross motor skills, social interactions, and emotional and spiritual growth are the areas of emphasis in our curriculum. We also utilize center time, which include housekeeping, blocks, art books and science. In these settings, children learn to share, take turns and value other children’s ideas. Each day is structured to allow alternating time for busy, active play, and quiet activities
